spark
Spark was founded in 2004 in San Francisco to engage in global issues that affect women and help change patterns of inequality that impact women around the world. The founders envisioned an organization that would empower young professional women in local communities to address social, political and economic issues that women face globally by creating a local network and working with grassroots women's groups worldwide. Spark began as a way to provide young people the opportunity to channel their energy toward becoming involved in the local and global community. Please visit them at: www.sparksf.org.

collective hearts
After the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010, hundreds of teenagers and children in the small artisan town of Jacmel were left orphaned. Many of these are still living homeless or in tents. Every day, a local community leader, Bonite Affriany, serves lunch and educates over 275 of these children – some of the children walking over an hour to reach her center. She provides them nourishment, education and love…but must send them back to their tents every day. We would like to change this... Explore the amazing work Collective Hearts is doing by visiting http://www.collectiveheartsyoga.com/.
